What "no subscription" means in Farscope

Local viewing is not a timed demo and does not expire. You can use up to five camera phones locally, and local viewing does not consume the remote trial. Remote access has a separate 75-minute trial within 30 days. If you decide you want permanent remote access, Owner Pass is a one-time purchase rather than a recurring plan.

Local storage, with remote access when you need it

Farscope records clips on the camera phone, using storage already inside that device. Farscope does not use cloud video storage for those recordings, helping keep them private and under your control.

Live viewing connects your devices directly whenever possible. When the network prevents a direct connection, an encrypted relay can carry the live stream without storing it. Remote connectivity still has infrastructure costs, which is why permanent remote access is what Owner Pass pays for.

An old Android phone in a drawer becomes the camera and your everyday Android phone becomes the viewer at launch. You do not need a dedicated camera, hub, or microSD card. An iPhone version is planned for the future and will be announced when it is ready.
